Day 01 :

The Painted Towns of Shekhawati

Morning (Arrival & Travel): Arrive at Jaipur (nearest major airport). Drive to Mandawa or Nawalgarh (approx. 3-4 hours). Check into a restored heritage haveli.

Afternoon (Fresco Exploration): Walk through the narrow streets of the chosen Shekhawati town, exploring the brightly painted Havelis (merchant mansions) with themes ranging from mythology to colonial life.

Evening: Enjoy dinner at the heritage stay, taking in the historical atmosphere.

Overnight stay in Mandawa/Nawalgarh.

Day 02 :

Artistry & Drive to Bikaner

Morning (Village Art): Visit the lesser-known, yet equally impressive, havelis and cenotaphs in a nearby village like Fatehpur or Laxmangarh for a deeper dive into fresco art.

Afternoon (Desert Drive): Check out and drive to Bikaner (approx. 3-4 hours).

Evening (Local Exploration): Check into your Bikaner hotel. Walk through the Kote Gate area, the entrance to the old city, and explore the local markets.

Day 03 :

Bikaner's Fort & Palace

Morning (Royal History): Visit the magnificent Junagarh Fort, a massive structure built on the plains (not a hill fort) which houses beautiful palaces like the Anup Mahal and Karan Mahal.

Afternoon (Old City): Explore the Old City and its labyrinthine streets, discovering hidden Jain temples and the vibrant red sandstone architecture.

Evening (Camel Tradition): Visit the National Research Centre on Camel (depending on operating hours) to learn about the significance of camels in Bikaner's culture and history.

Day 04 :

Temple of Rats & Gajner Oasis

Morning (Unique Temple): Take an early day trip to Deshnoke (approx. 30 km) to visit the famous Karni Mata Temple, where thousands of sacred rats (known as "kabbas") are worshipped.

Afternoon (Oasis Retreat): Continue the drive to Gajner to visit the beautiful Gajner Palace, situated on the shores of Gajner Lake, a former royal hunting resort. Enjoy a peaceful walk around the lake.

Evening: Return to Bikaner.
